Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) is taking a bold stand against federal health agencies, demanding accountability regarding the COVID-19 vaccine’s safety and adverse effects.

As the newly appointed chairman of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Johnson plans to issue subpoenas to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) unless they fully comply with oversight requests.

He has called for the immediate preservation and production of all records related to the development, safety, and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines.

In a letter addressed to these agencies, Johnson criticized the Biden administration for what he perceives as a coordinated effort to obscure critical vaccine safety data.

He specifically pointed to heavily redacted documents, including reports from Pfizer and communications from the CDC dating back to 2021, which allegedly hide the risks of myocarditis among vaccinated individuals.

Johnson highlighted an alarming instance where a draft Health Alert Network (HAN) message warning about myocarditis was never released, suggesting internal discussions within the CDC suppressed vital health information.

This lack of transparency, according to Johnson, has not only hindered Congressional oversight but has also jeopardized public trust in federal health agencies.

Johnson’s commitment to oversight comes after years of sending public letters regarding COVID-19, its origins, and vaccine safety, all of which have often gone unanswered or met with minimal cooperation.

He warned that any further obstruction by health agencies will lead to swift action, including subpoenas, reinforcing the notion that accountability in government is essential.

The senator has set a compliance deadline of December 3, 2024, signaling a significant shift in how Congressional scrutiny will be conducted in the new Congress.

Johnson's actions signal a renewed dedication among Republican leaders to ensure that transparency reigns in federal health communications, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the American public over bureaucratic secrecy.
