Giuliani Disbarred: Judges Slam Election Integrity Fight

Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and attorney for former President Donald Trump, has been disbarred in New York for challenging the 2020 election results.

A panel of judges in New York's Appellate court accused Giuliani of intentionally making false statements to the courts related to his efforts to challenge the 2020 election. The court found that Giuliani had no "good faith basis" to believe the lies he spread about the election.

Giuliani had previously pointed out two huge gaps in Pennsylvania's mail-in ballots during a hearing before the state legislature. He claimed that there were 672,770 votes that were not inspected by anyone and put into the ballot box, and that there was a gap between the mail-in ballots that were sent out and the number that was counted.

However, the panel of judges criticized Giuliani for his work exposing the corruption in Pennsylvania. They found that Giuliani's statements were not mere exaggerations, but falsehoods designed to deceive his listeners.

Giuliani has faced wider repercussions for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election than Trump himself. He has been suspended by WABC radio and had his show cancelled for continuing to make false statements about the 2020 election. He also faces disbarment in Washington, where the D.C. Bar’s Board of Professional Responsibility recently recommended that Giuliani be disbarred.

In the course of the New York disciplinary case, Giuliani stipulated to the reality that there were not, in fact, many thousands of votes cast in the names of dead people in Philadelphia during the 2020 election, as he'd previously falsely claimed. The referee overseeing the proceedings found "16 acts of falsehoods carried out" by Giuliani "were deliberate and constituted a transparent pattern of conduct intended and designed to deceive."

Giuliani's attorney said that he is "obviously disappointed in the decision" and that they are weighing their appellate options.

This decision comes as a blow to those who have been fighting to expose the corruption in the 2020 election. However, it is important to remember that the fight for election integrity is not over. There are still many questions that need to be answered about the 2020 election, and we must continue to demand transparency and accountability from our elected officials.

In the meantime, we can only hope that Giuliani will be able to clear his name and continue his work to expose the corruption in our elections.
