Breaking news: Stanford's "Internet Observatory" has been shut down, marking a significant victory for Republicans who have long criticized the lab's alleged censorship of political dissent.
The Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) was founded in 2019 to study the abuse of social platforms, but it has been accused of colluding illegally with the federal government to censor speech.

In her capacity as Research Director for New Knowledge, DiResta submitted written testimony to the US Senate drawing attention to the danger of such Russian disinformation and influence operations, including the alleged Russian "troll farm" Internet Research Agency.
However, DiResta failed to disclose to the Senate that New Knowledge conducted a secret influence operation to make it look like populist candidate Roy Moore was the beneficiary of a secret Russian influence operation.
The New York Times broke the story of this remarkable and now-forgotten scandal.
