Here's the latest on the ongoing political discourse surrounding President Joe Biden's cognitive state and former President Donald Trump's increasing influence in the Republican party.

Congressional lawmakers from Florida, including Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL), continue to question President Joe Biden's cognitive state after an awkward moment during the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. Gaetz, along with Representatives Cory Mills (R-FL) and Byron Donalds (R-FL), have expressed concerns about Biden's leadership, with Mills suggesting that even some Democrats are beginning to question the President's decisions.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump's influence in the Republican party continues to grow. Trump recently met with House GOP lawmakers, delivering a speech that covered both personal and political issues, while setting forth his policy objectives. His popularity has surged in the polls, and a growing number of business leaders are either openly supporting Trump or showing openness to his campaign for a second term.

Trump's meeting with House Republicans was not without controversy. He reportedly shared a bizarre story about Nancy Pelosi's daughter, claiming she had suggested that he and Pelosi would have been a perfect match in another life. Pelosi's daughter firmly refuted the claims, calling Trump's obsession with her mother "unwell, unhinged and unfit."

In other news, Steve Bannon, a key leader in the populist conservative movement and an early target of the House January 6 "Select" Committee, has been ordered by a federal judge to report to prison beginning July 1, 2024. Bannon and others caught in the Committee's machinations have long said that the Committee was established in violation of general procedural law. Citizens for Renewing America have studied Bannon's claims and agree that the Committee operated outside the parameters of law. They urge citizens to call their Members of the House of Representatives and ask them to take action to support Bannon's efforts to avoid going to prison.

As the political landscape continues to shift, it is clear that the Republican party is rallying behind former President Trump, while concerns about President Biden's leadership continue to grow.
