In a recent article from Fox News, Ohio Republican Senator J.D. Vance and Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz are raising concerns and demanding answers from Secretary of State Antony Blinken about a Ukrainian NGO that published a list of Americans labeled as "Trumpists and Communists" for their opposition to providing more U.S. funds to Ukraine. The NGO, Texty.org.ua, published an article denigrating individuals who have been skeptical of aid to Ukraine, branding them as enemies in what the lawmakers described as a targeted influence operation.

The lawmakers highlighted that the list includes 116 House members and 21 senators, all of whom are Republicans. They called attention to the founder of Texty.org.ua, Anatoly Bondarenko, who is listed on a U.S. government website as supported by the State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Furthermore, the article mentions that the House Appropriations Committee passed a resolution defunding the NGO, following a request from Republican Indiana Representative Jim Banks, who was listed as an enemy by Texty.org.ua. Banks expressed concerns about foreign groups trying to intimidate U.S. citizens and lawmakers with the help of U.S. tax dollars.

Vance and Gaetz have called on Blinken to provide information on State Department support for Bondarenko and Texty.org.ua, including any grants or awards, as well as whether the Department is investigating any violations of policy in this matter. They emphasized the importance of protecting U.S. individuals from targeted attacks based on political disagreements and legislative votes, regardless of foreign aid or support for Ukraine.

The article also notes that Fox News Digital reached out to the State Department for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
