MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle concluded an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci by telling the public health figure, "You make us smarter and safer and better everyday."

Fauci, who is the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden, has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for more than three decades — he has been a prominent and polarizing figure throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

"Since I have been spending a considerable amount of time trying to propagate public health principles of why it's important for the protection of the individual, of their family, and of society, to get vaccinated, for that reason I've been villainized," Fauci said.
