According to reports, actor Johnny Depp wants to take over Trump impersonations on "Saturday Night Live" if Alec Baldwin steps down.
The Hill reported: Depp, appearing with daytime host Ellen Degeneres on Thursday, played Trump in a 2016 Funny or Die video called "Art of the Deal." But he said he has never seen Baldwin's infamous impression of the president.
"Well, I've seen Trump do Trump, which is shocking to me," he added.
When Degeneres asked him if he'd ever do his Trump impersonation on "SNL," Depp said, "sure."
"Because then basically, Alec's done all of the work," he said. "I can just copy him."
Depp, who called Trump a "brat" during his campaign, predicted last year that he could be the "last president of the United States."
Baldwin, who has drawn White House criticism for his recurring role, has indicated he might not play the commander in chief in the long-term.
