BREAKING: Robbery In Downtown Seattle; Two Police Officers Shot!

Two police officers were shot after responding to a downtown robbery. At least one suspect is dead.

Two Seattle Police officers were shot, but survived while responding to reports of a robbery involving at least two, possibly three suspects in downtown Seattle on Thursday. One of the suspected shooters is dead, a second is under arrest and a search is on for a third suspect, police say.

Officers describe their third suspect as black man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall wearing a black jacket, glasses and a Seahawks beanie.

Seattle police say the ordeal began with an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven near Madison Street and Western Avenue. One of their suspects was caught, but the others ran. Officers later caught up with the second suspect and gunfire erupted.

Two Seattle Police officers, a male and female, were hit in their bullet-proof vests. They were taken to Harborview Medical Center to be checked out.
