Officer Fired for Defending Women's Safety in Bathrooms

A police officer's career in Georgia has taken a devastating hit after he stood up for what many view as a common-sense approach to safety.

Former Officer Glen Weaver was fired from the DeKalb County Police Department following an incident where he intervened in a bathroom dispute at a local library.

The incident transpired when a concerned mother approached library security after a biological male, identifying as a transgender female, entered the women's bathroom.

According to Weaver, he was merely trying to protect the rights and safety of women and children who might feel uncomfortable or threatened in such a situation.

"Oh, I believe I did the right thing," Weaver stated. "If I was a father, and I had my daughter going to the bathroom, and I’m waiting for her to come out and this individual walks in, there would have been an issue."

Despite his logic and adherence to duties that prioritize public safety, the police department chose to terminate his employment.

This decision raises questions about a prevailing "woke" culture permeating law enforcement and bureaucracy, where standing firm for traditional values is often met with severe repercussions.

Political commentator Beth Parlato, representing the Independent Women’s Law Center, supported Weaver’s actions, asserting, “He stood up for truth, he stood up for reality, he stood up for common sense.”

The backlash against Weaver's termination demonstrates a larger trend impacting citizens and law enforcement alike, where individual rights may seem overshadowed by newly constructed social norms.

Weaver's dismissal calls into doubt not only the policies surrounding bathroom access but also the compassion for those who simply wish to ensure the safety of their families in public places.

In a country where the majority supports traditional values, incidents like this highlight the growing divide between common-sense America and radical ideologies that prioritize feelings over facts.

As the nation grapples with these critical issues, the question looms: will common sense prevail over political correctness?
