Republican Martha McSally was up earlier today. That has changed according to latest results from the state.
According to the latest numbers that were made available at around 5:00 p.m., Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema is in the lead with 914,243 votes (48.91%), and GOP candidate Martha McSally in 2nd place, with 912,137 votes (48.80%). Sinema now has a 2,000 vote lead over McSally.
Democrat Senate Candidate Kyrsten Sinema in Arizona suddenly gains 15,000+ votes and pulls slightly ahead by 0.11% points against Republican Senate Candidate Martha McSally.
According to a CBS News reporter, on the outstanding ballots: "350K votes yet to be tallied. Out of those votes, 147K are considered” friendly” to Sinema, per a knowledgeable AZ gov official. 198K are “ less friendly” to Sinema but still a good sign for the Democrat. These votes are expected to be completely tallied next week."
