Marco Rubio has come to the defense of the first lady, and her choice in attire.
Senator Rubio slammed critics and the media for their treatment of Melania Trump over the jacket she wore during her trip to visit with young children that had been separated from their families at the border.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on Friday defended first lady Melania Trump from the “vicious treatment” she received from the public and media for a jacket she wore when boarding an airplane to meet with migrant children.
“I know for a FACT that @FLOTUS has been a strong voice of compassion for migrant children,” Rubio posted to Twitter. “The vicious treatment of her over the last day is a reminder of how Trump Derangement Syndrome, where hatred for him justifies everything, has become an epidemic. Totally lunacy everywhere!!!”
While boarding a plane to make a surprise visit on Thursday to a child migrant holding facility, Trump wore a jacket that said on the back, “I really don’t care, do u?” The jacket’s message caused backlash on social media.
The media, Democrats, and anti-Trumpers everywhere immediately attacked the first lady for her jacket, which read on the back "I really don't care, do u?". The critics actually made the assumption that this was some testament to how Melania actually felt about young children being taken from their families. The reality of it was Melania wore it as a statement to fight back against the fake news.
