Rapper Convicted Of Illegal Gun Possession Wants Gun Control!
Rapper T.I. stated taht he believes "our system is broken" when it comes to gun control.
T.I. was arrested in 2007 for purchasing three unregistered machine guns and two suppressors, which would have been illegal for ANYONE in the U.S. to own.
The irony of T.I.'s statement given his background has not been lost on us.
As the country continues to recover from last week's shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., in a recent interview with TMZ, T.I. offered up his thoughts on the weighty issue of gun control.
"It's a tough one," he tells TMZ. "I think you should probably make it more difficult for people who aren't mentally stable to have guns, and maybe there should be some... I just honestly feel like if you lose the right to bear arms as a citizen, then you know what I'm saying, it's easy to enslave. It's easy for the government to enslave people when they don't have the right to bear arms."
Later, he mentions how an extensive background check should be done on not only felons, but those who aren't mentally stable enough to purchase guns. "I think mental stabilization needs to be a big part... Just not being a felon isn't enough. We see that, that isn't working. People think that the felons that's causing all the problems, but you know, it seems as though people who have been given a gun license, who bought guns legally... Those are the ones causing all the mass hysteria, so I think that our system's broken."
Back in 2007, T.I. was sentenced to house arrest after being charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
David Clarke Just Called Out CNN For Bringing Rapper Jay-Z On the Show to Discuss Politics!!
For some strange reason, CNN thought it would
be a good idea to bring on rapper Jay-Z and ask him political questions about President Trump and his record low black unemployment rate.
CNN knew exactly what Jay-Z would say about President Trump which is why they brought them on. It makes no sense for them to cover the President’s
achievements if people will say good things about them. They only seek to slander and disparage the President.
Rapper Jay-Z says Obama expectations were "unfair"
In a New York Times interview, rapper Jay-Z stood up for former president Obama, saying that expectations of the president were "unfair".
According to Jay-Z, people expected too much from Obama, investing higher expectations in the president due to him being the first black president of the United States. A lot of Americans felt that Obama never quite lived up to the hype so to speak, and fell short of many of the promises he made when running for office.
Jay-Z pointed out that Barack is "not a superhero" in the interview, as he came to Obama's defense.
washingtonexaminer.com reports: Rapper Jay-Z said former President Barack Obama is "not a superhero", and the massive expectations placed on him as the first black president were unfair.
In a wide-ranging interview with the New York Times' T magazine, Jay-Z was asked whether he had any disappointments about Obama or if he had lived up to his expectations.
“Yes, because all he could do was the best he can do,” Jay-Z said. “He's not a superhero. And it's unfair to place unfulfillable expectations on this man just because of his color. You're actually doing the opposite. It's like, what do you think is gonna happen? He's there for eight years. And he has to undo what 43 presidents have done. In eight years. That's not fair.”
