Bill Clinton Wants to Explain Himself Before Lewinsky Records Released!

Former President Bill Clinton is getting a bit nervous about the idea of records being released on the Monica Lewinsky investigation.
Clinton's attorney says the former president would like the chance to present his position on the matter. reports: Former President Bill Clinton wants to weigh in on a federal court’s decision to unseal records surrounding the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.

Clinton’s criminal defense attorney, David Kendall, said his client wants to “present his position” about revealing to the public records related to subpoenas over the 1998 grand jury investigation into his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

CNN requested that a federal court unseal the documents.

The records detail Clinton’s own grand jury subpoena and other court documents that include a grand jury investigation into leaks.

They don’t want to be seen anywhere near a man with a history of harassment allegations, as guilty as their party loyalty to him makes them feel about it. “I think it’s pretty tough,” said Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), vice chair of the House Progressive Caucus and one of the leading voices in Congress demanding changes in Washington’s approach to sexual harassment. His presence “just brings up a lot of issues that will be very tough for Democrats. And I think we all have to be clear about what the #MeToo movement was.” After booting Sen. Al Franken precisely because they wanted to draw a clear contrast with Trump, Democrats across the party's ideological and geographical spectrum acknowledged the political trouble that any appearance with Clinton would cause.
