Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz admitted to shooting and killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
From Dailycaller.com: Nikolas Cruz admitted to shooting and killing 17 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students and faculty in Parkland, Fla., during a court hearing Thursday.
Cruz took an Uber to his high school around 2:21 p.m. on Wednesday. He pulled the fire alarm and roamed the halls, shooting people on the first and second floors. He then dropped his rifle and backpack on the third floor, reportedly disguising himself as one of the students frantically running around. He went to a Subway sandwich shop after, bought himself a drink, and sat at a McDonald’s.
Investigators identified Cruz through video footage. Forty minutes later, a police officer caught him walking on the side of the road.

The FBI agent in charge of the Miami office left much to be desired in his explanation as to why the proper protocol wasn't followed when they were tipped off about the Florida shooter.
In summary, his explanation can be described as "mistakes happen".
The FBI has concluded a call to the FBI concerning Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz did not follow proper protocol. The call was not forwarded to the Miami FBI field office, and that "no further investigation was conducted at the time."
"Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life," the statement said. "We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on Jan. 5."
