UCLA player's ungrateful dad lashes out at President Trump

The father of one of the basketball players caught stealing in China has claimed that President Trump did nothing for his son and UCLA teammates.

From Washington Post: President Trump made sure everyone knew that he personally intervened in the matter of the three UCLA basketball players who got caught shoplifting in China last week. He asked that they thank him for pleading their case to Chinese President Xi Jinping while on his Asia trip:


And then, after LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley indeed gave him kudos when they returned to the United States:



LaVar Ball, however, is having exactly none of Trump’s credit-taking.

“Who?” Ball told ESPN’s Arash Markazi when asked about Trump’s involvement in the matter. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”
