Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) raised $3.2 million in the first quarter of 2021, her campaign said Wednesday – a staggering sum especially for a freshman member of Congress, and one that suggests her marginalization in Congress has not dented her brand.
Greene has come under fire from Democrats and Republicans alike for her controversial rhetoric, particularly her past comments and social media posts promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory, expressing belief in 9/11 and school shooting conspiracy theories and even endorsing violence against top Democrats.
