ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Following a Homeland Security raid on a Roseville home Wednesday night, a neighbor spoke to KCRA 3 about what she witnessed, also sharing what was picked up on her security camera.
Cindy Turk said she heard a commotion outside her house around 8:30 a.m. that morning and saw the group of law enforcement officers descend on the home on Knowlton Court.
"It was scary at first," Turk said. "Your adrenaline rush. Oh my God, What's going on?"
Turk said she was getting ready to leave her home for an appointment when a blue unmarked van pulled up to the edge of her driveway, blocking her in.
Ring footage from the front of her home shows the van doors open up and nine officers wearing tactical gear get out and head toward a neighbor's house a couple of doors away. Minutes later, Turk said about a dozen more law enforcement vehicles, including a Humvee, drove up and blocked the street.
"They were then on a loudspeaker shouting, '448, come out of the house,'" Turk said. "This is a search warrant. They kept repeating it and they set off a series of percussion grenades — very loud."
No one in the home came out, so Turk said officers entered the home by shattering the sliding glass door in the back of the house. The family then came out and was questioned.
