Republican state Sen. Ed McBroom, the chairman of the Michigan Senate Oversight Committee, will not allow President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani to testify at a hearing Tuesday to review elections operations in the state.
In effect, McBroom told Jonathan Oosting, a reporter for Bridge Michigan, Giuliani had no "first-hand knowledge" of election fraud.
The hearing is taking place in the state's capital, Lansing, and will focus on claims of irregularities in the counting of ballots at the TCF Center in Detroit.
Oosting tweeted Monday afternoon that the Republican lawmaker said Giuliani will not be allowed to participate if he shows up - it's not clear if Giuliani is planning to attend the hearing.

The hearing will feature those with first-hand accounts of irregularities who have submitted affidavits.
On that note, McBroom said if the Trump campaign has "somebody with first-hand knowledge who wants to come in, they can put in a card and wait in line with everybody else for their three minutes."
