Stacey Abrams Peddles Her Erotic Romance Novel to Back Warnock and Ossoff - Tennessee Star

Former Georgia House Minority Leader and failed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams shared that she would auction a copy of her first romance novel to back Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. For just under a decade, Abrams wrote erotic romance novels under the pen name “Selena Montgomery.”

Abrams tweeted about her contribution to the runoff election on Wednesday. The funds raised from Abrams’ book will go to Romancing the Runoff, an initiative to raise money to back Warnock, Ossoff, and Democratic voting rights organizations.

“Thank you @RomancingRunoff for your amazing efforts. I’m privileged to be one of you. For the cause, I’d like to throw in an autographed copy of my first novel, Rules of Engagement, in the rare hardback version. Both Selena & Stacey will sign.”

The auction site lists Abrams’ book value as “priceless.”

This isn’t the first time Abrams’ romance novels caught the public’s eye – her smutty writing turned heads during her run for governor in 2018.

Abrams described her writing as “integral” to her identity. She added that her writing has prepared her for political leadership.
