The Rev. Al Sharpton will deliver the eulogy for George Floyd at an afternoon memorial service in Minnesota on Thursday, organizers say, as new details emerged about a later public viewing and funeral for the slain black man.
Sharpton will speak at the service, which will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., at North Central University in Minneapolis — the city where Floyd died in a shocking police-brutality case caught on video, according to local CBS affiliate WCCO-TV on Tuesday.
Another memorial event will be held Saturday afternoon in North Carolina, where Floyd was born.
