Cuomo takes in 1,000 donated ventilators from China

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that New York was accepting a 1,000-ventilator donation from China to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The New York governor announced that China, the novel coronavirus's country of origin, is donating 1,000 ventilators to assist patients diagnosed with COVID-19. “This is a big deal, and it’s going to make a significant difference for us,” Cuomo said during a Saturday press briefing. Cuomo also revealed that Oregon will be donating an additional 140 ventilators to the state.
