Cuomo pleads for help, says "New York is in crisis"

The New York governor made a plea for resources to be deployed to his state as it reported it's deadliest day yet from the coronavirus on Friday. "New York is in crisis. Help New York. And then pick up, decamp, and then go to the next place as this rolls across the country," Andrew Cuomo said.

New York's death toll from COVID-19 climbed to 2,935 on Friday, up from 2,373 the day before – the "highest single increase in the number of deaths since we started," Cuomo said.

There have now been more than 100,000 confirmed cases across New York state and more than 250,000 cases nationwide. The death toll in the country now tops 6,000.... (Read more)
